Kettlebell Group Training

Kettlebells

Kettlebells deliver the perfect combination of strength and endurance, cardiovascular fitness, explosive power, agility, stamina and fat loss.

A kettlebell is a traditional Russian training tool, it is a cast iron weight that looks like a cannonball with a handle, typically ranging in weight from 8kg to 48kg. They have been used by strong men for 100's of years, and have been the mainstay of modern Russian Olympic weight lifters and international athletes. Today they are being used by people from all walks of life to improve performance as well as general well-being.

A kettlebell is a fantastic tool due to the handle being outside the mass of the bell. This creates an extra axis for movements like the Swing, meaning the body has to overcome and develop as well as absorb the momentum. They are completely versatile and have been described as a hand held gym! Kettlebells are now going main stream beyond the world of celebrities and elite sports people.

The kettlebell provides a total body workout, that particularly reaches the core, butt, legs and back; it also gives cardiovascular training without being high impact. The nature of the exercises provides a form of interval training that has a powerful metabolic conditioning effect, ie. it's an unbeatable fat burner! Kettlebells also have the huge bonus that they achieve the work in half the time, perfect for a busy schedule. I have repeatedly seen kettlebells transform a client's body shape, with massive fitness gains.

Group training runs on a termly basis and is delivered at; beginner, intermediate and advanced level. All classes are supported with nutritional information and advice.

The group kettlebell training is held at Romsey Recreation Ground, Vinery Road, CB1.
